SEO & GEO Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced SEO & GEO Specialist to join our team in support of our partner company, Lightway Digital. Lightway is a full-service digital marketing agency that delivers tailored online advertising and data-driven user acquisition strategies. The company offers a wide range of services, including search engine optimization, social media management, paid campaign management, online reputation management, web development, as well as conversion and engagement optimization.

As an SEO & GEO Specialist,  you will be responsible for developing organic search strategies that combine technical improvements, content optimization, and data-driven insights to drive consistent, compounding growth across a diverse portfolio of websites.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective SEO & GEO strategies: Enhance site visibility and improve search engine rankings for clients
  • Technical SEO: Conduct site audits, prioritize fixes (including crawl budget, Core Web Vitals, structured data, indexation, and hreflang), and collaborate with development teams to implement these changes
  • On-Page Optimization: Create keyword maps, revamp metadata, optimize internal linking, and ensure that content aligns with search intent and best practices for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
  • Content Strategy: Work with writers to build topic clusters that target Featured Snippets, People Also Ask (PAA) spots, and SGE citations
  • Off-Page & Digital PR: Plan and oversee link-building campaigns to strengthen domain authority while avoiding potential penalties
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track performance using GA4, Looker Studio, and Search Console; translate data into clear roadmaps and monthly reports
  • Tool Mastery: Utilize platforms such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, and ChatGPT/LLMs to identify opportunities and automate repetitive tasks
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with PPC, CRO, and creative teams to ensure that organic insights inform paid and social campaigns, and vice versa
  • Trend Spotting: Monitor algorithm updates, schema changes, and AI-generated search experiences, adapting strategies proactively to stay ahead of competitors

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, agency or in-house
  • Proven wins in technical SEO and content-led growth
  • Proficiency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, and log-file or server-log analysis
  • Working knowledge of schema.org, Core Web Vitals, international SEO (hreflang), and mobile-first best practices
  • Comfortable using LLMs/AI tools for keyword clustering, content briefs, or SERP analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • HTML/CSS familiarity, hands-on experience with Shopify, WordPress, and/or Webflow or a history of outranking household-name competitors
